What to Expect of the Wedding Process

We will begin with an in-person consultation where we will discuss color, flowers, style, and the specific pieces needed for your wedding. From there, we will send you a proposal, and if you decide to partner with Walnut Hill Flower Farm, we require a $200 retainer to secure the date, which will be credited toward your wedding flowers. Once the details of the day have been set, we will ask you to sign a contract.

Full Service Weddings

Walnut Hill Flower Farm offers stress-free, full service weddings for couples looking for designed florals from start to finish, such as personal items, altar pieces, arches, centerpieces, and more. Included in your full-service pricing is an in-person consultation, design proposal, ongoing communication/planning, and set-up/installation of floral designs. Delivery cost is based on mileage, and set-up of extra items, such as candles and table numbers, is available for an additional cost. From start to finish, we are here to partner with you in the planning and presentation of your floral vision.

Additional costs: Delivery is based on mileage. If you need a florist to stay during the ceremony to repurpose pieces for the reception, the cost is $125. If you need a florist to stay for the entirety of the wedding and tear down, the cost is $250.

A La Carte Weddings

A la carte weddings are ideal for couples who are looking for a florist to design just the personal ceremony pieces, such as handheld bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres, but plan to DIY all additional decor. Couples often enlist friends and family to coordinate picking up the flowers and on-site DIY decorating. The a la carte option saves couples the expense of an on-site florist the day of the wedding, and gives them the opportunity to DIY a portion of their flowers. Included in your a la carte pricing is an in-person consultation, design proposal, and contract. Not included, is delivery and designed decor. For ceremony and reception arrangements and decor, please choose the full service option.
